Expands the scope of work for Class A air-conditioning contractors and mechanical contractors to include replacing and repairing existing package pool heaters and connecting replacement units to existing pool piping

Requires replacement pool heaters to be the same make and model as existing units, maintaining flow rate, connection points, and heater specifications without modifications to existing piping or system components

Explicitly excludes from the expanded authority any alterations to pool hydraulic systems, addition of bypass valves, installation of new plumbing, rerouting of pipes, or changes to circulation systems

Amends section 489.105, Florida Statutes, to update definitions for both contractor types with reorganized and numbered subparagraphs

Effective date: July 1, 2026
