Completion of 2 years of marching band now satisfies both the one-credit physical education requirement and the one-credit performing arts requirement for a standard high school diploma (previously it satisfied one or the other)

Students with disabilities may participate in Special Olympics for one school year as a course substitution for the physical education requirement, as determined by their IEP team

Marching band and ROTC credits still cannot be used to satisfy personal fitness requirements or adaptive physical education requirements under an IEP or 504 plan
