Expands the existing "portable electronics insurance" limited license category to include "eyewear insurance," covering loss, theft, mechanical failure, malfunction, or damage to smart glasses and prescription/nonprescription eyeglasses and sunglasses

Allows licensees to sell coverage for both portable electronics and eyewear under a single license, but does not require them to sell both types

Updates the definition of "portable electronics" to include devices used for health or activity monitoring, household uses, and devices with features responsive to user input or environmental conditions

Removes the obsolete statutory definition of "portable electronics transaction" and makes conforming changes to examination requirements, knowledge/experience requirements, and claims adjuster provisions in sections 626.221, 626.732, and 626.8685

Takes effect July 1, 2026
