Creates Section 501.172, Florida Statutes, regulating "companion chatbots" defined as AI systems providing adaptive, human-like responses capable of meeting social needs and sustaining relationships across multiple interactions

Requires operators to display notices that chatbots are AI-generated and not human, and to maintain protocols preventing suicidal ideation, suicide, or self-harm content, including mandatory referrals to the 988 crisis lifeline

Mandates age verification for users and imposes additional requirements for known minors, including disclosure of AI interaction, break reminders every 3 hours, and prevention of sexually explicit content

Requires annual reporting to the Department of Legal Affairs beginning July 1, 2027, including the number of crisis referrals issued and suicide/self-harm prevention protocols

Violations constitute unfair or deceptive trade practices enforceable by the Attorney General through civil action, with a 30-day cure period before enforcement; effective date July 1, 2026
