Board of Governors and State Board of Education must adopt regulations describing limitations on state universities and Florida College System institutions participating in political campaign activities, given their tax-exempt status

One month before primary elections, boards of trustees must email all employees and post on websites information about permissible activities (e.g., nonpartisan voter registration, candidate forums with all candidates invited) and prohibited activities (e.g., employees campaigning while on duty, implying institutional support for candidates, unauthorized use of facilities/logos for campaigns)

Institutions must also communicate potential disciplinary actions for violations of these political activity rules
