Judges may issue a summons or notice to appear instead of an arrest warrant for misdemeanor offenses if they reasonably believe the person will appear and special pretrial release conditions are not needed to protect victims or the community

Law enforcement officers may arrest without a warrant when there is probable cause to believe a person committed driving under the influence (s. 316.193) or boating under the influence (s. 327.35)

Search warrants may now be issued when blood samples or property constitute evidence of DUI or BUI violations

Search warrants may be issued when domestic violence laws or misdemeanor offenses involving use or threat of physical force or violence have been or are being violated at a particular location
