Requires medical examiners to perform autopsies with microscopic and toxicology studies for sudden unexpected deaths of infants and children, including cases of SIDS, SUID, SDY, and SADS

Mandates documentation of any immunizations or emergency countermeasures administered within 90 days before death in autopsy reports

Requires reporting of sudden unexpected deaths in individuals under 20 years of age to the CDC's SUID and SDY Case Registry within 30 days of completing the autopsy

Establishes administrative penalties for failure to report: up to $1,000 fine for first offense, up to $5,000 for second offense, and referral to Medical Examiners Commission for repeated noncompliance

Takes effect July 1, 2026
