Licensees who sell pet insurance must complete 2 hours of pet insurance-specific continuing education during each biennial compliance period

Pet insurers must provide policyholders with written disclosures including Division of Consumer Services contact information, agent contact details, and a plain-language summary of key policy features (coverage limits, deductibles, waiting periods, exclusions, preexisting condition rules, and wellness benefits)

Pet insurers must file annual reports with the Office of Insurance Regulation by March 1 containing data on policies issued/renewed/canceled, aggregate premiums and claims, policy denials and rescissions with reasons, and information on waiting periods and exclusions
