Counties and municipalities are prohibited from funding, promoting, or taking official action related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), including adopting ordinances, programs, or policies; existing DEI-related measures are declared void

Local governments cannot expend funds to establish or staff DEI offices, or employ DEI officers as full-time, part-time, or contracted positions

County commissioners, municipal governing body members, and other local officials who violate these provisions commit misfeasance or malfeasance in office

Contract and grant recipients must certify they do not and will not use county or municipal funds to require employees, contractors, or agents to study or be instructed using DEI materials

Exemptions include compliance with state/federal antidiscrimination laws, recognition of federal and state holidays, content-neutral event permits, and actions by nonelected volunteer bodies; effective date is January 1, 2027
