Florida Center for Cybersecurity (Cyber Florida) must develop a Cybersecurity Experiential Learning Program to expand internship and hands-on learning opportunities for students at state universities, Florida College System institutions, and private postsecondary institutions, subject to legislative appropriation.

The program must identify internship opportunities that NIST has found most impactful for job placement in high-demand cybersecurity roles, and consult with Florida employers in cybersecurity and security clearance industries.

Cyber Florida must review best practices from NSA National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity institutions, establish minimum student qualifications for enrollment, and identify participating institutions with projected student numbers.

Annual reports must be published on Cyber Florida's website beginning July 1, 2028, detailing student participation by institution, completion rates, certification exam passage rates, job placement rates, and recommendations for program improvements.

Effective date: July 1, 2026.
