Miami-Dade County must transfer its property interest in the Coconut Grove Playhouse to the Town of Bay Harbor Islands by July 1, 2026

The transfer responds to Miami-Dade County's alleged failure to comply with state preservation directives and its pursuit of a demolition plan that the Division of Historical Resources found inappropriate in a March 1, 2019 letter

The Town of Bay Harbor Islands must consult with the City of Miami, Department of Environmental Protection, and Division of Historical Resources on all renovation plans and alternatives to demolition

The new steward must preserve the historic facade, roofline, and architectural integrity of the playhouse while complying with original state deed covenants

Public funds allocated for the playhouse must be used to meet Department of Environmental Protection directives and fulfill preservation and stabilization requirements
