Duval County School Board may employ its own general counsel, independent of the City of Jacksonville's office of general counsel

The School Board's general counsel remains subject to binding opinions from the City of Jacksonville's general counsel under section 7.202

All other legal services for the School Board and Duval County Public Schools—including litigation representation and contract preparation—continue to be provided through the City of Jacksonville's office of general counsel

Attorneys providing legal services to the School Board (other than the general counsel position) remain under the sole supervision of the City of Jacksonville's general counsel
