Authorizes the City of Clearwater to pay $16,037,182.49 plus 9.46% annual post-judgment interest to Maximus Giannikos for injuries caused by the city's negligence

Maximus Giannikos, a 16-year-old South African tourist, was struck by a vehicle on May 28, 2019, after malfunctioning pedestrian crosswalk signals at Gulf to Bay Boulevard and U.S. Highway 19 failed to change for 30-45 minutes

A Pinellas County jury in September 2024 awarded total damages of $38,496,781.68, finding the City of Clearwater 45% negligent and Giannikos 55% negligent, resulting in an amended final judgment of $15,687,889.50

Giannikos suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal fractures, skull and facial fractures, a punctured lung, and multiple orthopedic injuries requiring over $1.1 million in medical bills with projected future care costs of $4.9 million
