Creates a public records exemption for personal identifying and location information of current and former municipal clerks and their staff, including elections filing officers, records management liaison officers, and deputy or assistant municipal clerks

Protects home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and photographs of covered personnel from public disclosure

Extends protection to spouses and children of municipal clerks and staff, including their names, home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, places of employment, and the names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by children

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2031, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Applies retroactively to information held by agencies before, on, or after the effective date of July 1, 2026
