Creates a public records exemption for personal identifying and location information of current and former medical examiners, including district medical examiners, associate medical examiners, substitute medical examiners, and their employees, deputies, or agents

Exempts from public disclosure: home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and photographs of medical examiners; names, home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and places of employment of their spouses and children; and names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by their children

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2031, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it

Applies retroactively to information held by an agency before, on, or after the effective date of the exemption

Justification states that release of such information poses security risks, allows unwarranted intrusion into private lives, and may compromise medical examiners' ability to carry out public duties
