Prohibits licensed psychologists, school psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, registered interns, and certificateholders from using artificial intelligence in the practice of their professions

Defines artificial intelligence as any machine-based system with varying autonomy that generates outputs such as content, decisions, predictions, or recommendations based on inputs received

Permits AI use for administrative and supplementary support services including appointment scheduling, billing and insurance processing, patient record management, general logistics communications (not therapeutic advice), and operational data analysis

Allows AI to record or transcribe therapy and counseling sessions only if written, informed consent is obtained from the patient at least 24 hours before services are provided

Effective date of July 1, 2026
