State agencies must grant employees up to 30 working days of paid administrative leave to serve as living organ donors, in addition to any other authorized leave

Private employers and local governments must grant employees up to 30 working days of unpaid leave upon written request to serve as living organ donors

"Living organ donor" is defined as a person who donates all or part of a human organ while alive for transplantation into another person

Employers may voluntarily provide paid leave or extend leave beyond the 30-day minimum requirement

Effective date: July 1, 2026
