Expands authorized uses of Florida's tourist development tax (collected by counties from short-term lodging) beyond current tourism-related purposes

Adds public safety improvements as an allowable expenditure, provided the improvements are necessary to increase tourist-related business activities in the county

Authorizes funding for development and construction of affordable housing (as defined in s. 420.0004(3)), including land acquisition, design, engineering, and professional services

Authorizes funding for development and construction of workforce housing (as defined in s. 420.5095(3)), including land acquisition, design, engineering, and professional services

Takes effect July 1, 2026
