Exempts all records identifying participants in state retirement plans administered by the Division of Retirement from public records requirements, replacing the previous limited exemption that only protected retiree names and addresses in aggregate or list form

Allows disclosure of exempt retirement information to other governmental entities for official duties without waiving the exemption

Removes previous provisions that permitted viewing individual retirement records at the Department of Management Services or obtaining information through written requests for named individuals

Subject to Open Government Sunset Review and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2031, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Justified as protecting retirement plan members, payees, and beneficiaries from predatory individuals and organizations who could exploit their sensitive financial information
