Authorizes neighborhood improvement district boards to plan, finance, or complete structural safety and building compliance improvements, including those required under state or local structural recertification programs

Requires approval for such improvements through either a majority vote of district residents or by an advisory council composed of district residents established by local ordinance

Amends section 163.514, Florida Statutes, by adding a new subsection (17) to the existing powers of neighborhood improvement districts

Effective date: July 1, 2026
