Creates s. 790.402, F.S., requiring firearm owners or lawful possessors to report lost or stolen firearms to local law enforcement within 48 hours of knowing or reasonably should have known the firearm was lost or stolen

Requires reporting individuals to provide the firearm's make, model, caliber, serial number (if known), and details about when and where the firearm was last seen

Mandates local law enforcement agencies to create an incident report upon receiving a lost or stolen firearm report and provide a free copy to the reporting individual upon request

Requires individuals who recover a previously reported lost or stolen firearm to notify the same law enforcement agency within 48 hours of recovery
