Removes the requirement for the Florida Commission on Human Relations to send complaint copies and reasonable cause determinations by registered mail

Allows complainants to file a civil action within 1 year after either the commission's reasonable cause determination or the EEOC's Notice of Right to Sue, whichever occurs first

Permits complainants to file suit within 18 months of filing the complaint if neither the commission nor EEOC issues a determination within 180 days

Makes technical changes including updating "shall" to "must" or "may" throughout the statute and clarifying language regarding attorney fees awards consistent with federal Title VII case law

Takes effect July 1, 2026
