Requires the Department of Financial Services to notify applicants when their My Safe Florida Home Program application is deemed abandoned due to failure to complete construction and final inspection within 1 year of grant approval

Allows applicants whose applications are deemed abandoned to submit a subsequent grant application if they respond within 5 business days and demonstrate good cause for non-compliance

Requires the department to notify applicants when their application is deemed withdrawn due to failure to respond to requests for additional information within 60 days

Prevents applications from being deemed withdrawn if the applicant responds within 5 business days of notification, demonstrates good cause, and corrects any errors or omissions

Takes effect July 1, 2026
