Urges Congress to direct the National Guard Bureau to review and increase Florida's National Guard force structure allocation

Florida has approximately 21 million residents but only about 12,000 Guardsmen, ranking 53rd out of 54 states and territories with a ratio of one Guardsman per 1,833 residents

During 2020-2021, the Florida National Guard expended the same number of workdays in 18 months as it had in the previous 20 years due to COVID-19 response, natural disasters, and overseas deployments

Current shortages have led to repeated redeployment of the same soldiers, causing excessive stress and fatigue while negatively impacting recruitment, retention, and readiness

Directs the Secretary of State to send copies of this memorial to the President, Congress, and Florida's congressional delegation
