Requires district school boards to implement a mandatory electronic alert system within their data management systems to notify school administrators, child study teams, and parents when a student reaches the truancy threshold for absences

Alerts must be triggered when students accumulate 5 unexcused absences within a calendar month or 10 unexcused absences within a 90-calendar-day period

The electronic notification system is intended to support timely communication and early intervention for students with attendance problems

Effective date is July 1, 2026
