Applicants for positions requiring educator certification or direct student contact in district schools, charter schools, or private schools participating in state scholarship programs must provide contact information for current and former employers, including those where they had direct contact with children

Applicants must submit written authorization allowing prospective employers to obtain disclosures from previous employers listed in their application

Applicants must disclose in writing whether they have been the subject of abuse or sexual misconduct investigations by employers, licensing agencies, law enforcement, or child protective services (unless allegations were found false)

Applicants must disclose if they were disciplined, discharged, asked to resign, or separated from employment while abuse or sexual misconduct allegations were pending, under investigation, or due to findings of abuse

District school systems, charter schools, and private schools must conduct a review of applicants that includes all disclosed information before employment
