Requires private landowners to grant the state an easement for ingress and egress to abandoned cemeteries located on, underneath, or adjacent to their property when credible evidence supports the cemetery's existence

Authorizes the state to use the easement for maintaining abandoned cemeteries and conducting research and noninvasive searches at reasonable times with reasonable notice to the owner

Expands existing law that already grants relatives and descendants easement rights to visit and maintain cemeteries where their family members are buried

Effective date: July 1, 2026
