Authorizes a person who is a party to an oral communication to intercept and record it without the other party's consent if they have reasonable grounds to believe the recording will capture evidence of domestic violence

Recordings made under this exception may only be provided to law enforcement agencies, attorneys, or courts for the purpose of evidencing an act of domestic violence

Prohibits any other dissemination or sharing of recordings made under this domestic violence exception

Effective date: July 1, 2026
