Creates the Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Study Group to review opportunities, risks, and best practices for managing AI in academic instruction, research, and student conduct within Florida's State University System and Florida College System

Membership includes faculty from various disciplines, representatives from the Board of Governors and State Board of Education, an AI/computer science/data ethics expert, a Southern Regional Education Board representative, and a student representative

Study group must examine AI's impact on academic integrity, applications in teaching and research, privacy and intellectual property implications, academic freedom protections, and faculty training needs

Report with findings, recommendations, model policies, and proposed legislation due to the Governor and Legislature by December 1, 2026

Study group expires December 31, 2026; act takes effect July 1, 2026
