Sewage disposal facilities with permitted capacity exceeding 1 million gallons per day must submit annual reports to the Department of Environmental Protection beginning July 1, 2027

Required facility reports must include construction year, permitted and actual daily treatment volumes, current treatment levels for contaminants (including nitrogen, phosphorus, PFAS chemicals, and molybdenum), wastewater spill history since 2010, and flood zone location

Department of Environmental Protection must submit annual reports to the Governor and Legislature by December 31, 2027, compiling facility data to prioritize sewage disposal facility upgrades and wastewater infrastructure investments

Department reports must also include impairment status of receiving waterbodies, implementation status of total maximum daily loads, and basin management action plans

Legislative findings declare that inadequately treated wastewater and aging facilities threaten Florida's water quality and local economies, and that advanced wastewater treatment at large facilities is a necessary long-term investment
