Creates section 914.18, Florida Statutes, requiring attorneys, investigators, or other agents acting on behalf of a criminal defendant to file a notice of intent before contacting a crime victim

Mandates the notice be filed within 72 hours before making or attempting to make contact with a victim for the purpose of obtaining information about a pending criminal proceeding

Exempts contact that occurs during court proceedings or depositions from the notice requirement

Requires the notice to be filed on a standard form developed and made available by the state attorney in each judicial circuit

Takes effect July 1, 2026
