Requires all Florida local governments (municipalities, special districts, counties, clerks, sheriffs, property appraisers, tax collectors, and supervisors of elections) to accept credit cards, charge cards, bank debit cards, and electronic funds transfers for payments owed to them

Mandates that local governments accepting electronic payments must also provide an online payment option

Allows local governments to surcharge users of electronic payment methods to cover service fees charged by financial institutions and credit card companies

Provides an exception when another form of payment is specifically required by law

Takes effect January 1, 2027
