Prohibits the absence of certain firearm safety features from being used as evidence of defective design, negligence, duty to warn, or strict liability in product liability lawsuits

Covered safety mechanisms include authorized user recognition technology ("smart gun" features), external manual safeties, loaded chamber indicators, and magazine disconnect mechanisms

Preserves manufacturer liability in cases involving actual manufacturing or design defects, or failures to meet express warranties and representations

Applies to causes of action accruing on or after July 1, 2026
