Designates January 27, 2026, as "UCF Day" in Florida to recognize the University of Central Florida's contributions to higher education, research, innovation, workforce development, and economic growth

UCF, founded in 1963 as Florida Technological University, is now the largest university in Florida by enrollment with more than 70,600 students and 12 colleges offering over 250 degree programs

Engineering and technology program enrollment has grown to more than 21,000 students since 2020, representing a 25 percent increase under President Alexander N. Cartwright

UCF holds Carnegie Research 1 classification and maintains partnerships with NASA, the Department of Defense, and U.S. Space Force, while connecting with the Central Florida Research Park for industry collaboration
