Removes the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2026 for the public records exemption covering conviction integrity unit reinvestigation information

Makes permanent the exemption that protects information generated during state attorney investigations into plausible claims of actual innocence

The exemption applies only during active, ongoing, good faith investigations until the claim is no longer capable of further investigation

Excludes from the exemption: petitions from applicants, information generated for collateral court proceedings, and criminal investigative information created before the conviction integrity unit investigation began
