GA HB203

Allows municipalities to purchase parks from counties at a price of $100.00 per park when electing to assume ownership under the relevant Code section

Requires counties to transfer to the purchasing municipality the portion of bond proceeds originally planned for improvements to that park, based on representations made at the time of the bond referendum

The amount transferred must be determined based on county resolutions, staff recommendations, county records, and public statements made by county officials to solicit voter support for the bond referendum

Reduces the transfer amount by any funds the county already spent improving the park prior to the municipality's notice of its election to purchase

Requires the county to complete the financial transfer within 30 days of the municipality assuming ownership, and the municipality must expend the funds consistent with the original purpose and intent of the bond issuance
