Georgia House Resolution 1800, sponsored by Representatives Ashe of the 56th and Kaiser of the 59th, commends Ms. Sharon D. Collins for her outstanding service to the City of Atlanta and extends best wishes for the future.

Ms. Collins devoted over 20 years to civic organizations, serving as president, chairperson, and vice chairperson of Neighborhood Planning Unit V (NPU-V) and receiving an Outstanding Service to NPU-V Award in 2002.

She has been an active volunteer of the Mechanicsville Civic Association since 1995, serving as chairperson and establishing the Impressionable Youth program for local 12- to 18-year-olds focused on leadership, financial management, and community involvement.

Ms. Collins, owner of To Top it Off, has received numerous awards including a Neighborhood Achievement Award from the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board, an Ellen Sulzberger Strauss Leadership Award from the Enterprise Foundation, and a Distinguished Service Award from the Atlanta Clean City Commission.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Ms. Collins.
