Creates the Joint Cherokee County Transportation Study and Planning Commission with up to 20 members, including state House and Senate members whose districts overlap Cherokee County, Cherokee County board of commissioners members, and mayors of municipal corporations located in the county

Charges the commission with studying transportation conditions, needs, issues, and problems in Cherokee County—one of Georgia's fastest-growing counties—and recommending any necessary action or legislation

Requires an initial meeting no later than July 1, 2010, with a final report of findings and recommendations due on or before January 1, 2011; the commission stands abolished on January 10, 2011

Commission members receive no reimbursement from state funds for attending meetings

Resolution becomes effective June 1, 2010, contingent on the Senate adopting a substantially similar resolution
