Georgia House Resolution commending Dr. Douglas W. Lundy, an orthopaedic trauma and fracture reconstructive surgeon, for his distinguished medical career and humanitarian service, introduced by Representative Golick of the 34th district

Dr. Lundy earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, completed residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, and fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Serves as Chief of Surgery at Kennestone Hospital and chairman of the Medical Liability Committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Joined a six-person medical team on a relief mission to Hospital Albert Schweitzer, 40 miles outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to treat thousands of victims following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Dr. Lundy in recognition of his compassionate humanitarianism and altruistic service
