Requires the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to provide 90 days' written notice to local governing authorities before making significant changes in services at state parks or recreational areas within their jurisdiction

Defines "change in services" as closing a state park or recreational area, permanently changing a primary existing operational function, or reducing hours of operation or services by 50 percent or more

Written notice must be sent specifically to the chairperson of the county commissioners and the mayor of any municipality in which the affected state park or recreational area is located

Amends Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated by adding new Code section 12-3-35

Takes effect immediately upon approval by the Governor or upon becoming law without such approval
