Salary increases or bonuses received by teachers or certificated professional personnel that were based in whole or in part on falsified student assessment results, standardized test scores, or standardized test answers are automatically forfeited under this amendment to Georgia Code Title 20, Chapter 2.

Teachers or certificated professionals who falsified test results, or knew of or caused the falsification, are liable for full repayment of any amounts previously paid to them based on those falsified results.

Amends Code Section 20-2-210(c), which governs annual performance evaluations of personnel employed by local education units under Georgia's Quality Basic Education program, by adding a new subsection (2) addressing falsification penalties.

The act takes effect immediately upon the Governor's approval or upon becoming law without such approval.
