• Enacts the "Georgia Pain Management Clinic Act" to establish a regulatory framework for pain management clinics operating in Georgia
• Authorizes the board to establish minimum standards of continuing medical education for all physicians who own a pain management clinic
• Requires other licensed health care professionals practicing in a pain management clinic to meet continuing education standards set by their respective professional licensing boards
• Amendment offered by Senators Carter (1st District) and Unterman (45th District) was adopted to revise the continuing education provisions in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee substitute
