Designates February 22, 2012, as National Guard Day at the Georgia state capitol and invites the Georgia National Guard to be recognized by the House of Representatives at a date and time set by the Speaker.

The Georgia Department of Defense, headquartered at Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, encompasses the Georgia Army National Guard, Georgia Air National Guard, and Georgia State Defense Force.

The GA DOD employs over 11,000 Army National Guard Soldiers, 2,800 Air National Guard Airmen, 850 State Defense Force members, and 460 state employees.

Georgia's Army National Guard is the eighth largest in the nation, training at more than 79 armories and facilities statewide, organized into five major subordinate commands including the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and the 78th Homeland Response Force.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Georgia National Guard in recognition of their service and accomplishments.
