Commends the Coweta-Fayette-South Fulton County Forestry Unit ("Coweta Forestry Unit") for being named the Georgia Forestry Commission's 2011 Northern Unit of the Year and invites them to appear before the House of Representatives.

Key accomplishments include 437 acres of agriculture prescribed burning assists, 3,787 acres of silvicultural burning assists, 250 miles of firebreaks, distribution of over 600,000 seedlings, and 37 community programs reaching nearly 17,000 people.

The unit maintained wildfire protection of 327,074 forested acres across three counties during a season that caused over $19.8 million in property damage and threatened an additional $461.3 million in property statewide.

The unit, led by Chief Ranger Terry Quigley and First Ranger Jeff Mansour, also assisted during the record-breaking 2011 fire season and April 2011 tornadoes, certified two new Tree Cities (Chattahoochee Hills and Fayetteville), and recertified five others.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Chief Ranger Terry Quigley.
