Georgia House Resolution 1576, introduced by Representative Anderson of the 117th district, recognizes and commends the Kelley Family for their accomplishments in bluegrass and Gospel music

The Kelley Family Band consists of parents Donna and Tim Kelley and their five children—Brittany (22), Timothy (20), Peppy (12), Victoria (9), and Daniel (6)—who collectively play piano, fiddle, violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo, and viola

Brittany and Timothy are music education majors at Augusta State University and own and operate Kelley Music Studio, where they have taught multiple instruments and voice for five years

Family members have won numerous talent competitions between 2010 and 2011, including the Georgia-Carolina Talent Competition, the Columbia County Talent Competition, and the Fort Gordon Teen Talent Competition, and have performed alongside bluegrass and Gospel legends such as Little Roy Lewis, Earl Scruggs, The Inspirations, and The Weatherfords

The resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an appropriate copy to the Kelley Family
