Georgia House Resolution 1585 commends Mr. Earl Tillman as the 26th Annual Heart of the Community Board of Governors' Award winner in 2012, presented by the Heart of the Community Foundation, Inc., and Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Tillman served his community through numerous roles, including deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, commander of the Civil Air Patrol, alumni president at Berry College, public motivational speaker, and participant in search and rescue missions.

He is the published author of two books: If You Talk the Talk, You Gotta Walk the Walk and Don't Depress Laughter, It Will Go Down On You and Make Your Hips Bigger.

The resolution was sponsored by Representatives Dempsey of the 13th, Coomer of the 14th, Reece of the 11th, and Crawford of the 16th districts.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit an appropriate copy of the resolution to Mr. Earl Tillman.
