GA HR1671

Georgia House Resolution 1671, introduced by Representative Buckner of the 130th District, recognizes and commends Ms. Jane Starnes for her leadership and commitment to the welfare of Georgia citizens.

Ms. Starnes led the fundraising, planning, and permitting efforts for the development of the Jean R. Amos Chapel at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

She expanded the volunteer program at Doctors Hospital, increased the number of volunteers, broadened service areas, and personally staffed the gift shop when volunteers were unavailable to maximize revenue.

Funds raised through her efforts provided scholarships for health care workers, donations to area charities, and support for the chapel.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Ms. Jane Starnes.
