GA HR1694

Georgia House Resolution 1694, sponsored by Representative Waites of the 60th District, commends Mr. Arthur Queen for 25 years of dedicated public service to the State of Georgia.

Mr. Queen was born on April 17, 1942, in Washington, D.C., and attended Prince George's Community College, Delaware State University, and received a glass management certificate from Georgetown University.

He established Ebony Glass and Mirror Company, Inc. (now EGM Services, Inc.) in March 1986 and serves as chairman, providing services in the construction industry.

Mr. Queen was inducted into the Atlanta Business League's Hall of Fame in 2011 and the National Association of Minority Contractors Hall of Fame in 2001, and received the Small Business Award from the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance in 2009.

He is an active member of numerous organizations, including the 100 Black Men of DeKalb, the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, and serves as Atlanta Chapter President of the National Association of Minority Contractors and deacon at Love Life Christian Fellowship Church.
