Georgia House Resolution 1708 commends Ms. Janulyn Yvette Lennon for her outstanding service and contributions to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the State of Georgia

Ms. Lennon serves as Interim Director of Security at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, making her the first woman to hold the position, with responsibility for the safety of nearly 90 million passengers and 58,000 employees annually

She holds a Bachelor of Science in pre-law from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Science in criminal justice administration summa cum laude from Coppin State University, and previously served as deputy superintendent of a regional jail in Hanover, Virginia

She is a member of numerous professional and community organizations, including the American Society for Industrial Security, the American Association of Airport Executives, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and serves on advisory boards for Today's Black Woman Incorporated and Vital Healthcare Group

She was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a second degree black belt and has been featured in multiple publications, including Rolling Out magazine, Atlanta Tribune, and Who's Who in Black Atlanta
