GA HR2199

Georgia House Resolution 2199, introduced by Representative Bruce of the 64th District, commends Dr. Marion Henry Beaver for 50 years of service at First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs and 65 total years of ministry beginning in 1947.

Dr. Beaver served three years in the United States Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of first class petty officer.

He graduated from Emory University in 1950, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1953, and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Seminary in 1977.

First Baptist Church named a street and church building in his honor in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication.

The resolution congratulates Dr. Beaver on the upcoming occasion of his 90th birthday (born November 29, 1922) and directs the Clerk of the House to transmit a copy of the resolution to him.
